Knitting for Beginners
1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 15
KNITTING is like yoga for the mind. Join us at Laughing Sun Brewery from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, March 15, for an intro to knitting class. Cost is $30 and limited to 8 students.
This is the first step to begin a lifetime skill that will net you the benefit of mittens, hats, scarves, sweaters, pillows, you name it. And, there's a free craft beverage of your choice included.
Learn how to read a pattern (supplied), cast on and the knit stitch, or refresh your skills - all questions answered.
SUPPLIES: Please bring a pair of size 10 to 15 knitting needles and a bulky weight wool/wool blend yarn for a pair of fingerless gloves or a sturdy cotton yarn for a face cloth. You will need a darning needle and stitch markers (safety pins work) if you wish to work towards fingerless wristlets. YOU can find these supplies at JoAnns, Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Lion Brand Chunky Wool-Ease is a good choice. I will have some wool blend fiber for sale at the class.
